G. Meyer Books and Spiritual Traveler Press started out as a website
called The Spiritual Traveler, which was initially conceived as a
place where people without their own websites could post stories,
poetry, journals, and articles concerned with travel, writing and
spirituality. After collecting a considerable number of such
postings, the site was discontinued, replaced by Spiritual Traveler
Press, and later G. Meyer Books. The two imprints serve somewhat
different interests. Spiritual Traveler Press is more concerned with
narratives that touch on new age religion, metaphysics, and
spirituality, while G. Meyer Books concentrates more on mainstream
fiction, history, biography/autobiography, and contemporary social
issues. However, both imprints share a common interest in narratives
that focus on the struggle for self-awareness. The Spiritual
Traveler Archives still offer a selection of articles originally
posted on the Spiritual Traveler Website, and contributions to the
archives are still appreciated. Manuscript submissions are also
welcome. |
