Poems, 1Wisp of the Feather

The learning process how sweet it can be
When Soul rejoices and sings with delight
O'er a hard won lesson to clearly see
What keeps us apart from the inner light.

Some keep the vision Divine Spirit shares
Others forget, drift off, go their own way
We give them pure love to show them God cares
And follow our hearts in life's divine play.

Quickly renewed from Divine Light and Sound
Prepared to endure to grow beyond age
We gain a new way to share lessons found
Through knowledge and trust in the wisest Sage.

I follow my heart as the eagle soars
And return Spirit's love through feather'd doors.

Seeing the Best of Things

Have you ever walked on a summer's day
Or gazed upon the shining stars above
Or hummed yourself to pass your chores away?
All are the best of things, made with God's love.

Have you ever seen in a honeycomb
Life's mysteries linked to the hawk and dove,
Or heard a hatchling sing within it's home?
All are the best, brought here by Spirit's love.

Have you ever climbed a tree with a friend
Sat upon a branch and thanked God above
And wondered aloud about life's next bend?
These things all, bound together by our love.

With my friends on this long spiritual hike,
I ask, are we close to what God is like?
